Behind the elegant façade we find a well-appointed interior where a mixture of snow-white walls and honey-coloured stone elements, complemented by Amtico-style wood tiled flooring, creates a warm inviting and refreshing home all tastefully decorated with comfortable, high quality furnishings.
Reminiscent of the renowned abstract artist Wassily Kandinsky, colourful and original artworks crafted by the talented owner of Dioni, add a very personal touch to the attractive open plan living/dining area. A kitchen, family shower room and a lovely double bedroom with en-suite facilities occupy the remaining space of the ground floor and there is convenient direct access to the garden/pool area from both sides of the house on this level.
Upstairs we discover a master bedroom with en-suite shower room and private balcony, the perfect spot from which to observe the ever-changing colour palette created by the azure seascape converging with the silvery-green treeline. A delightfully quirky twin bedroom, set mezzanine-style beneath the timber beamed pitch of the roof, completes the sleeping accommodation of this characterful property.
Step outside to lounge under the pergola, cool off in the private swimming pool, grill tasty local produce on the barbecue, linger over a meal on the inviting terraces or just enjoy the pretty landscaped garden - whatever your preference Dioni’s relaxing environs are ideal.
Less than a kilometre away, the small town of Tsoukalades has good everyday amenities that include minimarkets, a fresh bakery, coffee shops and tavernas. Within a 10-15 minute drive Pefkoulia, Paralia and (part-naturist) Gaidaros are just three of the many beautiful beaches for which the western coast of Lefkada is renowned.
The mezzanine-style twin bedroom is not suitable for very young children.

Lefkada Town - The capital of the island with a charming labyrinth of streets with shops and restaurants in abundance. There is a glorious natural lagoon which fills with flamingos in the summer months, as well as a beautiful natural beach to the north of the town.
Go Dolphin Spotting - In Preveza, there is a company offering eco-cruises that guarantee dolphin and sea-turtle sightings. The team will take you out on their boat and around the Ionian Islands searching for these beautiful animals.
Dimosari Waterfalls - Nestled into the hills and forests above the coastal village of Nydri, the waterfalls are a haven of beauty and tranquillity, explore the impressive landscape and waterfalls that form small pools among the rocks on the hillside.
Beaches - Head to one of the many blue-flagged beaches: Pefkoulia, Egremni, Agiofili, Kathisma and Mylos being some of the best. Experience a breath taking sunset on the lovely beach of Egremni and visit Porto Katsiki, described by many as ‘a slice of paradise’ and widely considered to be amongst the best beaches in the Mediterranean.
